📦 DELIVERY

Important information

IL BAULE DI NONNA ELVIRA is primarily an inspiration showcase for handcrafted, made-to-measure furniture and home accessories. Most items in the Store are not held in stock: they are produced on demand, with lead times, materials, finishes and costs agreed with the customer through a personalised quote.

Production and delivery times are therefore indicative and are defined in the quote.

⏱️ Delivery times

Handcrafted made-to-measure furniture and kitchens
All made-to-measure furniture is handcrafted and reproduced on request. Production and delivery times are defined in the personalised quote agreed with the customer. In the event of delays, the customer will be promptly notified by telephone.

Small handcrafted furnishing accessories
For smaller handcrafted items — such as stools, shelves, wall units, small tables and accessories — production and delivery times are generally 2–3 weeks from the order date or quote confirmation.

Standard items (non-handcrafted)
For industrially manufactured items listed as "standard", dispatch generally takes place within 5–7 working days from the order date.

🌍 Delivery area

We deliver throughout Italy and across the European Union. For made-to-measure furniture and bulky items, delivery may be carried out via selected carriers or using our own company vehicles, depending on the destination and the terms agreed in the quote.

For deliveries with assembly, the service is carried out directly by our staff, with travel costs included in the quote.

💶 Shipping costs

Shipping costs for standard items are calculated at checkout. For made-to-measure furniture and bulky items, transport costs vary according to dimensions, weight and destination (Italy or EU) and are specified in the personalised quote prior to order confirmation.

📦 Packaging and delivery

We carefully package every item using cardboard boxes or pallets depending on the product purchased. Delivery is entrusted to selected carriers or carried out directly using our own company vehicles for made-to-measure furniture and deliveries with assembly.

Unless otherwise agreed, delivery of bulky items is made to ground floor level, provided it is accessible by lorry or company vehicle.

🛠️ Delivery with assembly

For furniture with agreed assembly, delivery is made using our own vehicles, accompanied by our fitters, who will handle delivery to the required floor (if necessary) and on-site assembly.

Production, transport and assembly times, as well as travel costs, are defined in the contract and specified in the overall quote.

⚠️ Damage during transit

Deliveries using company vehicles
For deliveries carried out directly by IL BAULE DI NONNA ELVIRA, the seller is liable for any damage occurring during transport. In the event of damage found upon delivery, the customer is asked to report it immediately to the staff present and to document it photographically before signing the delivery document.

Deliveries via courier
For items shipped via third-party couriers, Arts. 1693–1702 of the Italian Civil Code apply. In the event of a damaged or tampered package, the customer must:
– sign the delivery document with reservation, indicating the nature of the damage
– document the damage photographically before opening the package
– report the damage within 8 days of receipt by contacting: ilbaule@ilbauledinonnaelvira.it or Tel. +39 342 8824514

Failure to sign with reservation may compromise the ability to make a claim against the courier.
